Cybersecurity in Action: Eurovision 2025
ELCASecurity partnered with Microsoft to secure the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, protecting an event viewed by over 170 million people during a challenging geopolitical climate.
Discover how we built digital sanctuaries, delivered a federated security architecture, and proactively defended against thousands of cyber threats.
In partnership with Microsoft, ELCASecurity delivered a federated security architecture powered by the Microsoft security suite that mitigated over 5,000 threats, including phishing, DoS attacks, and disinformation. Solutions included "digital sanctuaries" for critical assets, real-time network monitoring at the venue for anomaly detection, and a threat intelligence program anticipating geopolitical, technical, and environmental risks.
Early integration into the security team set cybersecurity requirements in RFPs, briefed suppliers, and maintained an open hotline for support. A single governance structure with the host city, SRG SSR, and EBU enabled seamless execution and clear supplier dialogue without disruptions.
